Jeff the Fish in the Studio

It was a proud moment for me when DJ Jeff The Fish asked me to shoot a portrait session. There was also a fair amount of pressure! The man’s got a bit of a international following you see. We’d met after he’d seen on the photos i’d taken during the first Jazzcotheque Weekenders he’d organised in Perpignan. I’d done some funky flash and blur stuff that’d caught his eye. These days we tend to meet by chance at the airport when our flights to the UK coincide.

J’ai ressenti une grande fierté quand Jeff the Fish m’a demandé de tirer son portrait. Cette fierté était accompagnée d’une certaine pression! C’est que Jeff est très suivi à l’échelle internationale. Nous nous sommes rencontrés lorsque il avait vu quelques photos que j’avais prise lors du premier Jazzcothèque Weekenders qu’il organisait à Perpignan. J’avais fait des images en mode « flash and blur »  qui avait manifestement retenu son attention. Ces jours-ci on a plutôt tendance à se retrouver à l’aéroport lorsque nos vols pour l’Angleterre coïncident.
